Disney+ to become the global streaming home for Formula E

Disney+ are to cover the Formula E Championship starting in the 2026/27 season

On the 11th August 2026, Formula E, Disney+ and ESPN announced a landmark multi-year agreement that will make Disney+ the global streaming home of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Disney+ will stream across 144 territories, including the U.S. where it will be streamed alongside ESPN+. This is set to begin at the start of the 2026/27 season.

This is a significant milestone for Formula E as they will use Disney’s global streaming outreach to find millions of new households globally. Formula E also have an extensive portfolio of free to watch broadcast partners around the world, ensuring fans can continue to enjoy and access they championship.

This partnership will launch alongside the start of the revolutionary GEN4 era of cars, which are set to be the fastest and most powerful car in the championship’s history. Disney+ and ESPN viewers will enjoy a comprehensive coverage of the weekend, including every practice session, qualifying and race events. Outside of the on track actions, there will also be preview and review shows, race highlights and analysis, exclusive behind the scenes content and full race replays on demand meaning Formula E viewers will have plenty to digest.
