Nate Cicero has departed from McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) following an announcement he posted to Instagram last week. In his post he stated:
“I will be taking a leave from racing to focus on personal matters and would appreciate privacy at this time. I want to thank everyone who supported me over the years”

On the 10th of August, MMR released an official statement to their social media pages stating:
“We are disappointed to announce that our relationship with Nate Cicero has come to an end. Effective immediately, Nate is no longer associated with MMR in any capacity. We will have no further comment on the topic.”

They proceed to comment about how their main focus is the future and his replacement will be announced in the coming days.
Cicero is 21 years old and has competed in various series within the IMSA ladder, including the Mazda MX-5 Cup, Mustang Challenge and his most recent series being the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Outside of the IMSA ladder he has competed in GT4 America.
He currently leads the Michelin Pilot Challenge in the Grand Sport Class alongside his teammate Robert Noaker, making his departure all the more surprising. No reason have been publicly given besides “personal matters”.
