Lando Norris has co founded a new junior single seater team, LN4 Fusion, that is set to compete in Italian F4, FIA Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) and Formula 3 in 2027.
The team’s main headquarters are in Veneto, Italy. However, they also operate in Cambridgeshire, UK for British F4. LN4 Fusion are already operating a British Formula 4 testing programme as they work on securing a future entry into the category.
The group acquired selected assets from AIX Racing, which helped them secure the Formula 3 entry until the end of 2027. The new team have also made an application to enter into F2 and are in the team selection process ahead of 2027.
The 26-year-old reigning Formula One World Champion, who won his first title last year in 2025 for McLaren, has recently signed a contract extension of his own to keep him at the papaya team until at least the end of 2030. He announced his new side project at an event in Italy, not far from Monza which is where the Italian Grand Prix will be held this weekend.
The cars themselves were in full display and feature Lando’s iconic fluorescent blob design on a dark blue base.
LN4 Fusion has been developed in collaboration with an investment group led by Dan Richards who is responsible for overseeing the organisations business strategy and long term growth.
They have appointed Rene Rosin as the new Team Principal. Rosin is a motorsport legend who has won more than 40 championship titles in the last couple of decades. He was Team Manager and Team Principal at PREMA Racing from 2005 to 2025.
He will work alongside Dan Hazelwood who will work as Team Principal of LN4 Fusion’s UK operations. He is also a motorsport veteran with over 25 years of experience in the field.
Alongside the LN4 Fusion team, Norris is launching a LN4 Legacy Programme. This is a fully funded driver development programme operated by ADD Management (who are responsible for managing Norris himself). This is to be led by Julian Rose who has the task of identifying and developing exceptional young talent in the same way Norris himself was supported up the motorsport ladder. Norris is personally funding the programme.
