Reports have been pouring in all morning that Isack Hadjar looks set to miss the Dutch Grand Prix due to a wrist injury. I had not wrote about it as there had been no official statements from the teams involved, however in the past 15 minutes both Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls have released statements.
Hadjar was meant to be running a special helmet this weekend that honoured his first podium, which was at Zandvoort in 2025
Red Bull have released a team statement to social media confirming Hadjar had sustained a wrist injury during the summer break and he will not be racing in the Netherlands this weekend. This is a shame as last year Hadjar picked up his first podium in the sport at Zandvoort.
Red Bull also confirmed that Liam Lawson will be replacing him the RB22 this weekend. This leaves an empty seat at Racing Bulls, which they have confirmed will be filled by Yuki Tsunoda.
Yuki departed Red Bull as a full time driver at the end of the 2025 season and has since been a reserve driver for the team. He has yet to drive a race weekend in these new regulation cars so it will be interesting to see how he adapts, especially as it is a sprint weekend where there is less practice time.
Finally I’d like to add that I am wishing Isack Hadjar a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.
