Following the announcement of Louis Sharp’s mid season departure, a seat was left open at PREMA in Formula 3. PREMA have very quickly confirmed that this seat will be filled by Alex Powell.
The American-Jamaican driver will join the team for the F3 test in Madrid and then complete the remaining races for the team. Alex is returning to the team after winning the Italian Formula 4 Rookie Championship back in 2024 with the team. He finished as a runner up in the UAE 2025 F4 season and has since been competing in Eurocup 3. He is currently 6th in the standings.
Powell already has experience with this team so it is definitely a good fit to see out the end of the 2026 season.
